Getting Started at Fry’s Karate
Beginning martial arts training should feel clear and straightforward. This page outlines how to start, what to expect, and how tuition works at Fry’s Karate.
How to Begin
New students start with a 3-Class Introductory Trial.
This allows you (or your child) to:
experience the training environment
meet the instructor
understand class structure and expectations
decide whether the practice is a good fit
There is no obligation to continue after the trial.
Students may begin at any time of year.

What to Expect in Class
Classes are structured, focused, and physically demanding. Students train barefoot, wear comfortable athletic clothing to start, and are guided through the curriculum at an appropriate pace.
Instruction is attentive and personal. Classes are never treated as childcare or open gym time. Students are expected to participate, listen, and make an honest effort.
Progress comes through consistency and responsibility rather than speed.
Class Schedule
Classes are held weekday afternoons and evenings and are organized by age and experience level.
After your introductory classes, we’ll help you choose a schedule that supports steady, consistent training.
